Keeping the MainWP Dashboard updated to the latest version is HIGHLY recommended due to potential compatibility issues with MainWP extensions and security risks.
With that in mind, if you want to downgrade the MainWP Dashboard to v.4.4.3.4, the MainWP Child plugin on your Child Sites also has to be downgraded to version 4.4.1.3, which is the last version before 4.5.
- The first step is to install MainWP Child plugin on all your child sites
- The Child plugin is available here: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/mainwp-child.4.4.1.3.zip
- Then follow the steps from this KB for bulk-installing the Child plugin
- After the Child plugin is installed, you can downgrade the Dashboard to 4.4.3.4
- The Dashboard plugin is available here: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/mainwp.4.4.3.4.zip
If you’ve downgraded the MainWP Dashboard without downgrading the Child plugin first, the child sites will become disconnected when attempting Synchronization or any other action through MainWP Dashboard.
In that case, you will have to temporarily upgrade MainWP Dashboard to 4.5, reconnect the Child Sites, and downgrade the Child plugin to 4.4.1.3 by perform the Step 1 from the instructions above.
